Kirkwood Community College has released its dean’s list for the fall 2025 semester.

Fulton City Lodge No. 189 will hold a soup-and-sandwich supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. March 19 at the Brunch House Restaurant.

The University of Illinois Extension invites local youths to participate in the 2026 Pawsitive Leaders 4-H SPIN Club, a hands-on dog training program. Sessions will be held at the Lee County Fairgrounds on March 21, April 4 and 18, May 16 and 23 and June 6.

The Sterling Fire Department also is hiring. With the two newest candidates starting at the academy March 6, the SFD is pulling applications for the position left open by a resignation.

Local youths interested in rabbits and small animal care are invited to participate in an upcoming 4-H rabbit workshop. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon April 18 in the Rabbit Barn at the Lee County Fairgrounds.

An acreage swing toward more soybeans and less corn in the upcoming growing season is forecast by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Lee County 4-H is excited to announce Project Pool, an engaging and educational event for youths 5-18. This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. March 28 at the Lee County Fairgrounds.
