The Wonderers have left the caverns, ridding them of Xulgaths, dinosaurs and demons, restoring peace to the temple. A vision revealed the ancient story of the god Aroden, as well as his death, though a prophecy may have shown Kale that he himself might be the key to restoring the Aeon Orbs. However, disaster burns ahead, and The Circus of Wayward Wonders is engulfed in flames.

After nearly being roasted alive by a wicked spell-casting Xulgath, The Wonderers continue their adventure through the caverns - which we know now to be full of ancient religious artefacts. A massive cavernous opening has been discovered, full of remnants from the Xulgath camp, as well as a gigantic, endlessly deep hole. While The Wonderers can't be certain just how deep it goes, they are sure of one thing; this is where the Xulgath have come from.
Also, they now have a Triceratops named Betty.

The fighting has ended, for now. The Wonderers have found themselves deeper in the caverns than ever before - so deep in fact, that likely no one in the city of Escadar above knows just how far they have travelled. The ghostly apparition of an ancient priest named Ulthadar has also visited once more, only to vanish at the sight of his own crypt, leaving the party with more puzzles to solve.
