It took a bit to get the conversation going, because we had very yummy homemade burritos by Dad and Sam. Conversation went everywhere tonight.

Mom made cheese burgers on the grill (even though it's 40 degrees outside!). We do have a Content Warning as we do talk a little about religion and zombies... You are warned. 😁

Dad made a chickpea stir fry with rigatoni pasta. Mom is working on the farm doing night chores this week,so she wasn't at dinner. We mainly caught up with Eli's school life.

Mom made dumpling soup (mini dumplings in chicken broth with carrot shreds). The conversation centered around Sam and they're adventures in life.

We got an update from the kids about school, and then we devolved into fun words to say. Good laughter tonight!

Mom made chicken and pasta and kale for dinner. We talked about quite a few things, but ended with Sam telling about how people like to talk to them.

We're back! Dad came back home from a 5 week stay at the hospital, then we got COVID! We're now all better and back in our usual groove. Tonight Sam and Dad made tofu and pasta. We discussed Eli's trip to Ecuador in 2020, just as COVID took over the world.

Dad was in a bad mood. His energy level is very low nowadays. Dinner was a bit tense, but this is supposed to be real life so, here's a slice of it.

Dad was in the hospital for a few days and returned on Saturday. He and Eli made Hamburger Helper. We talked about dad's stay and a few other things.

Dad and Sam cooked Fettuccine with tomatoes and mozzarella balls (the kids call this the "Summer Dish"). Among the things we talked about were Eli's homework and how 3/4 sleeve shirts have no seam. Happy holidays!
