We kick off today’s show with the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters. They are leading the fight to protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and greater Quetico-Superior Ecosystem which is in Northern Minnesota and Southern Ontario. Ingrid Lyons, Executive Director of the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters and Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness, tells host Esty Dinur about the threats facing the area and what how they are working to save the wilderness.
Then, we head to Capitol Square where producer Jade Iseri-Ramos calls in with activists outside Senator Tammy Baldwin’s office to demand a cease fire. Madison for a World BEYOND War has been vigiling from 9 am – 5 pm daily inside and outside of Tammy’s Madison office since the bombing of Gaza began again last week. Tomorrow, Saturday 9th at 1pm, Wisconsin Coalition for Justice in Palestine will be holding a rally at 1pm at the State Capitol (corner of State St.) Find more info here.
