What would God have us to do in the midst of our troubles? Stay the course and press on! Be faithful

commonly speaks of scientific facts that were not known to man at the time it
was written.

second. Once it reaches the ocean, the
water evaporates. Water returns to the
land in the form of clouds and then precipitation.
The idea of a complete
water cycle was not fully understood until the sixteenth and seventeenth
centuries. Long before man discovered
the water cycle, Solomon wrote, “All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea
is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return
again” (Ecclesiastes 1:7).

of the Bible’s inspiration is its indestructibility. Voltaire, a French writer and philosopher who
lived from 1694-1778, once said that in 100 years there will not be a Bible
left on earth. Two hundred years later,
Voltaire’s own writings sold for a mere 11 cents. After Voltaire died, his printing press was
used to print Bibles. His house was used
by the Geneva Bible Society to store Bibles.
Men have done everything
they could over the years to eliminate the Bible from society. They have burned it in flames, banned it from
being sold and barred it from being read.
Yet the Bible still stands its ground.

I recently traveled several hundred miles to visit family. It was a good trip with no real problems along the way. But admittedly, there were portions of the trip that might test a person's patience. Heavy traffic through a large city, moving at a slow pace and lengthening the trip. Cars traveling close together at 75-80 miles per hour for nearly a 100 mile stretch,
Why would I make such a trip and endure those "trying" portions of the journey? The answer is simple - I was mindful of the destination and the joy that would be experienced when finally together with those I loved.Isn't life like that? Life has its ups and downs, it's potholes and congested traffic. I'm speaking figuratively, of course. But why do we endure those trying times of life and keep plodding along? We're mindful of the destination. We're mindful of the joy that will be experienced when we are finally with God and all His people!
