Mia Bassett grew up in a Christian home and revived Christ at a young age. She went on to struggle with her identity; resulting in her phasing in and out of rebellion. Until she went on a missions trip in college to the Philippines. It was on this trip that Mia learned what it really looked like to give her life to the Lord and she “hasn’t looked back since”.

This week we have a twist on our traditional episode. We have the story of Adam Esterle, one of our pastors at Freedom Fellowships. Today we have a very special release. This is the story of Corey and Alyssa’s marriage. How God brought them together and has worked through their relationship since. They talk all about what they thought marriage would be like vs. what they actually experienced. They paint a beautiful picture of what it looks like to have a God-centered marriage.
This is the first episode of a new series we’ll be doing called, “Our Marriage”. These episodes will detail the testimonies of different couples’ marriages and how the Lord has worked in them. These episodes are for anyone: single, dating, engaged, newly married, etc. We wanted to explore testimonies in all areas of life, and marriage is a pretty exciting one. This weeks episode is the story of Tyler Parr. He grew up moving constantly and so it was hard to keep stable friends throughout his childhood. He was introduced to Jesus in late high school, but before he could dig his roots deep, he moved away from the body of Christ he was involved in. A couple years later he made his way back to that same body, and received Christ. The Lord began a beautiful work in his heart. He was transformed from an anxious, lonely person to someone who can stand on the confidence of the Lord.

It was through those cool, skater kids that he was introduced to Christ. He was introduced to peace, loving relationships, and a stable identity. Listen to the story of CJ Gent, who was once a kid who did everything that he could to escape reality. He liked to keep to himself and his interests. But his self-sufficiency was eating away at him. Depression and loneliness set in. He came to college to further escape, but here the Lord put people in his path who really wanted to know him and show him what real love looks like. CJ has been transformed into someone who sees the value in relationships, has peace and joy and is willing to put in the hard work for the Kingdom of the Lord.
