Our desires can become dangerous when they lead us away from the heart of God. Our Godly values, priorities, and moral compass begin to lose its flavor and personal application. When unchecked, they might foster selfishness, impulsiveness, and harmful behavior. Additionally, excessive attachment to desires can create an unending cycle of dissatisfaction, preventing us from finding contentment and inner peace that only comes from God through Christ. God meets us where we are… but what does that mean and how does that shape our story? 

I couldn’t be more thankful to God for the wife and life partner he has blessed me with. Special thanks to my wife Joan for joining me on todays podcast to shed some light on the many ways God has walked with us individually and collectively. God is truly faithful to His children and is constant in His steadfast love through every season of our lives. 

Living a disciplined life is very different than being disciplined in an area or two. The implications of picking and choosing where we will fight to be disciplined vs striving to live and overall disciplined life are major. Our lives are designed in a holistically way, which is why God calls us to live a disciplined life unto Him. The neglect of one area of our life WILL have a negative effect even on the areas we are fighting to be disciplined in.

We may not be where we want to be in our journey with Christ but God is faithful to see us through. God is not like the people we may have grown up around. His love is more than enough to cover us in our darkest moments and seasons. His patience  and grace is abundant enough. The question is, can we trust Him through it and not lean on our own strength? In God out security and identity is found.
