Main Point: Don't let afflictions shake your faith or fervor.

1. Danger: Afflictions can shake our faith.

2. Dependence: Jesus can establish our hearts.

3. Devotion: We can live to please God.

Main Point: Give thanks to God for the evidence of His work among us.

1. The word of God is received with conviction.

2. The word of God is received in affliction.

Main Point: Hearing the Lord's words is not enough; we must do them.

1. Two different foundations.

2. The certainty of storms.

3. Two different outcomes.

Main Point: Many who claim to represent Jesus are frauds.

1. All frauds will be exposed on the last day.

2. Working wonders is worth nothing without obedience.

3. If you hear your Shepherd's voice, follow Him.

Main Point: Avoid false teachers, they feed upon your discipleship.

1. Detect False Teachers.

2. Expect fruit from trees.

3. Inspect their fruit of Doctrine.

4. Inspect their fruit of Living.

Main Point: Choose Jesus.

1. Because the other way leads to destruction.

2. Because only He can lead you to life.
