One easy dictionary definition of the word power is control.  Tonight's podcast commentary is how white men have used that control far too often and fear losing it as evidenced by the attempts of the Maga GOP to control voting.  It is not new but that does neither explain or excuse the misuse of power over others. One question to think about, what if it had been an African Kingdom who discovered the military use of gunpowder and Europeans had not?
