We have spent 4 years living in an alternate universe where truth and facts do not matter.  If we went a day without a lie from the prior administration, it was a rarity.  The lies numbered in the thousands and never stopped.  That said, all is on a different now.  The truth is now out there by the Biden Administration.  Over two press conferences, one including Dr. Anthony Fauci, they have emphasized that they will be honest with us no matter how bad the news might be.  Refreshing!

Today, we inaugurated a new president, Joseph Biden.  History making as we now have the first female Vice President Kamala Harris, who is also a woman of color.   As commentators said this celebration was basically flawless from the singing of Lady Gaga, J. Lo and Garth Brooks to the inaugural message from the new president.  A great start with fast tracking the change of some of #45s worst decisisons.

Tonight the President elect and Vice President elect led a Memorial in honor of the 400,000 who have died in this country because of Covid.  It was very emotional for me watching and listening to the two sung hymns sung a capella.  I admit I had tears as I watched and listened.  In this podcast, I believe you can sense my emotional state.  God Bless You and thank you for listening!

Today, we honor Martin Luther KIng, Jr.  An icon in the Civil Rights movement who followed a path of peace and non-violence and whose life was tragically ended by an assassin's bullet on April 4, 1968 in Memphis Tn.  He suffered many indignities and yet looked for the good in all.  He abhorred violence but like his hero, Gandhi, he would die for his movement.  In this, sometimes very personal and painful episode, let us unite to work towards his words, walking hand in hand, "free at last".... thanks for listening....

President Obama left a letter for Trump on Inauguration, reminding him of his responsibility to maintain our Democracy.  Trump tried hard to do the opposite.  His many failures are discussed.....thanks for listening

Tomorrow is the day that "internet chatter" has marked for demonstrations around the country in each state capital as well as Washington DC.  Hopefully, they will be nonviolent but we must be prepared.  Please Pray for our Great Nation.......

With five days left, we look at prior inaugurations that I have witnessed and how I felt. Three stand out: JFK, Obama and Trump. As the old Meat Loaf song goes, don't be sad, two out of three aint bad......but truly the third administration was bad.  Thankfully coming to end and hopefully the end of hs influence except in a few Republican circles.....

McCarthy, Jordan and Gaetz protested that impeachment would not help to unify the country.  The GOP supported Trump no matter what and are now reaping the consequences......
