The issue of starlight seemingly presents problems for the age of the Earth.  If stars are millions of lightyears away, then isn't the light we're seeing from them right now millions of years old?  How then can the universe only be ~6000 years old?

After the days of Cain and Abel, generations pass for about 1000 years since the Creation, and mankind has fallen into a wickedness that moves God to holy judgment.  Was the wickedness of the people back then so much worse than us that they had to be destroyed by a Flood?

If the earth is as young as the Bible indicates, then how do we account for our empirical observations of the world around us which imply a much older universe?  Uniformitarianism, catastrophism, the fossil record, the Ice Age, evidence of tropical landscapes under Antarctica and the rest of the world... how does any of this make sense?
