The University of North Carolina School of the Arts is launching a new program to preserve and advance traditional music. The American Roots Institute will highlight bluegrass, folk, blues, jazz, and gospel for School of the Arts high school and college students. With North Carolina’s rich history of roots music, UNCSA is a fitting home for this new institute.
