Strife is dangerous. It can be deadly. It doesn’t just deal with one person. Rather it has the potential to take out both the Strivor and the Strivee and anyone in the middle. An ultimate goal, especially as Christians should be to endeavor to have no part of it. There’s no such thing as an innocent bystander if you choose to involve yourself in strife. Take care of the people around you. And don’t let strife fester... whether as the giver or the receiver of it. It can only take you bad places. Nothing good can ever come of it.

Our thoughts, communications and actions are to be inspired by God. We must be disciplined on these three things. We must learn to reign in our thoughts, control our tongues and prioritize our actions. No use thinking big if you never act on it. And no use talking if you forget you’re speaking with human beings. Don’t blunder your way through life. Focus on God. Let His Wisdom be your guide.

Discipline is one of the most important attributes a person could have. It’s a character builder and it is one of the most appreciated aspects of an individual. Learning how to discipline yourself in God is crucial for a Christian because this is how you overcome the world. We don’t flitter flutter. We stand on the Word. That takes tremendous discipline. Take the time to listen to this tonight. God bless you.

You don’t need to be brainiac or have reached or obtained a milestone for you to seek out wisdom. You don’t need to condemn yourself either. You just need to be willing to take the baby steps. Ask the small questions. Ask God for one thing to do every month. It could be as easy as that. 1 thing; and it doesn’t have to be specific to Him. He gave you this life, so ask for wisdom on how to take care of it. No one’s too young to do that. No one’s too old to do that. So do that.

In this episode we go through Proverbs 6-8, where we uncover or rediscover a host of things; attributes that, as Christians we ought to have. For example, God’s not a big fan of strife lovers. We see in here some things that He considers abominable. And all these things have one thing in common.... no love there. This episode we learn more about His expectations of we the Christ-like men. The major thing we focus on in this episode is Wisdom and Understanding. These two things are intertwined. You never truly have wisdom is there is no understanding attached to the acquired knowledge. Understanding helps us to control that urge we have to take offense when God corrects us. Wisdom guides us on how to apply the correction. A Christian is not the average man. Trying to live like one would do you more harm than good. Listen and be blessed.

We all know that the Great desire of God for His Children is for them to walk in Love- Love God, love man. So how do we show God we love Him? It’s not by saying it; It’s by obeying Him. Obeying not because you “see” but because you believe. But you can’t hear Him clearly if you don’t know Him well so we’ll familiarize ourselves with Him and His Instructions and we start here, in Proverbs bearing in mind that all these Instructions lead to the same thing- Love God, Love Man.

This is an introductory episode into this new Season of SALPng where the focus is on the book of Proverbs. God gave us the instruction to love but for some reason, we don’t fully understand the implication of this commandment. It is my hope that as we journey through this book, we get a clearer vision of His expectation of us as Believers; as His Children.

Judging others is a very bad thing.

And it’s a nasty trick satan uses on less than vigilant Christians.

See when you judge another person, you pull further away from God and inadvertently closer to that thing. Your judgement acts against you rather than against the person you judge.

It’s incredible!

Forgiving is a part of love. You can’t call it love if you refuse to forgive. We don’t forgive for the benefit of others; we do it for ourselves. Carrying a load like hatred will weigh you down, frustrate you, make people uncomfortable around you and keep you out of God’s reach. Unforgiveness is a cancer that feasts on your spirit and you need to cut it out. Because it WILL condemn you.
