President Biden is reportedly so frustrated that Senator Joe Manchin has stymied his so-called “climate change agenda” that he is prepared to declare a state of emergency to implement it without congressional action.

Exactly what that would mean is unclear. Presumably, sweeping measures will be mandated because President Biden insists, “the science is settled” and greenhouse gas emissions must be curbed. Expect mandates for further reductions in the use of fossil fuels.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is already proposing to penalize publicly traded companies for failing to get with the Green New Deal program.

But wait. Two of America’s most eminent scientists rebutted the SEC declaring, “There is no climate-related risk caused by fossil fuels and carbon dioxide” and that the adoption of the Commission’s proposed rule would cause “disastrous consequences for people worldwide.”
