We revisit our discussion from last year on blaxploitation soundtracks!

From the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s, dozens of films with mostly Black casts had soundtracks crafted for them by some of the biggest musicians of the day, among them Melvin Van Peebles, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and many more. The Say Something Nice crew discusses the history of these blaxploitation soundtracks from films such as "Shaft", "Superfly", "Claudine", "The Mack", "Black Caesar", and "Trouble Man".

"And The Winner Is..." That phrase will make many a filmmaker's and actor's heart flutter over the new few weeks as we enter the infamous 2016-17 awards season. The Say Something Nice Awards Panel takes a look at the nominees for this year's Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards and NAACP Image Awards. In addition, we also review some recently released award season contenders: retro musical "La La Land" and Will Smith tearjerker "Collateral Beauty."

Also in this episode, we take a look back at that year that was in television, on some of our favorite shows and the finales of "Queen Sugar" and "Empire." Finally, we lament on just how dim Lee Daniels' new show "Star" really is.

There's no need to have a bad feeling about this: the Say Something Nice crew is back to review and dissect "Rogue One", the first in the Star Wars Anthology series of spin-off films. We break down, in both non-spoiler and spoiler sections, the new film's characters, plot, battle sequences, symbolism, and the use of CGI to specifically tie the film to "Episode IV: A New Hope". We also clap back at the butt-hurt fanboys who claim the film is propaganda against President-Elect Agent Orange or shouldn't star a woman, because...whet?
