We've all heard the phrase, "Once a cheater, always a cheater" or "a leopard can't change its spots" is that true? In this age of "You can't tell me nothing" we have children running their parents, men who don't stand up for women and a percentage of the community that feels no obligation to where they live or come from... When the few do stand up, often they're left to fight for everyone else alone. What can we do to bring this back to "the village" mentality instead of "I got my mine" and "mind your business"? Charitable donations that don't make it to those in need...public figures talk about being there for the people & not showing up when needed...folks talk about uplifting people but stay petty and negative... With so many talking about it but not being about it we have to Say Something!!!

As we look at the state of our communities we have to look at our family structure. How much importance do we place on love? Are Black Men & Women moving towards different goals or just away from each other? Is interracial dating a cause or an effect of some of the divide among Black Men & Women? Have we become a people of "Free Agents"? Instead of the question being Malcolm or MLK have we become more like LeBron? Are we just doing what's best for us and ours? Is "selling out" now simply a form of "I gotta Get Mine, You Gotta Get Yours"? Listen/Comment/Share and Say Something!!!

Black Americans are on pace to spend over a trillion in the US economy this year but have less than 2% ownership of the total wealth, land and resources it will go to. With racial tensions so high is it time for Black people to just fall back? Would social-economic segregation rebuild black wealth? Would those missing dollars create more appreciation from other races? Listen/Comment/Share and Say Something!!!

The necessity of organization; a comedian made headlines for a comment he made about transsexuals on a radio show and an immediate backlash came for not only him but the hosts of the show as well as the station that aired it. From Kaepernick possibly being outed from the league by a united NFL owner front to an R&B singer unable to defend himself verbally for an incident he was involved in with an alleged transsexual woman for fear of how his words may be perceived, when is it ok speak up? With this administration's plan to go after universities to reverse affirmative action saying it gives an "unfair advantage" are these powerful organizations just steamrolling over individuals? So much going on we have to Say Something!

With so many stories out this week highlighting poor & questionable decision making do we critique & analyze our own mistakes like we do these celebrities? Drunk driving, drug use, not practicing safe sex...these habits aren't limited to only the rich & famous. How much time do we put into really making a good decision for ourselves & how do we choose who we continue to support after they've made a mistake? We've got Usher, R Kelly & OJ...oh my! How often do we look at our heroes (Parents/Pastors/Celebrities) as REAL people or just as who we want them to be? When our expectations are shattered how much fault do we place on them instead of ourselves? Are people really out here selling out or do we just buy in to our own expectations? Why are we so quick to jump out the window on people for not being who we want them to be? Listen/comment/share and Say Something!

Do we trust in the system (education, law enforcement, politics) like we do the church...on faith? Do we send our kids to school/college under the same plan as church on Sunday?
