Jason and Josh ask three of our board members the big question: why are you here? And the answers are tear jerkers. These members have so much love for our city, it's people, and Mission: St. Louis that there is no better people to spend the next hour with.
This week Jason talks with Garrett Jackson, Daniel Hawthorne and Pete Woods about their involvement with Mission: St. Louis. Each of these men come from a different walk of life and have worked in different capacities with M:STL, but they all walked away with the same lesson - the importance of relationships. Listen how M:STL has changed their perception, Jason's "right, wrong and reality" theory and what it means to have a "barber shop."
Josh talks with former VISTAS about their experience at Mission: St. Louis, what it means to serve in Americorps, and of course - the best happy hour deals in the city. Tune in and listen as Josh and Shannon try to convince Katie to move back to St. Louis and reminisce about their time on Manchester.
Jason sits down with former participant, Malik, and discuss what it means to leave a legacy. Malik went through the Mission: St. Louis program five years ago. Since he has maintained the job he was connected to through M:STL and recently bought a house in North City. The men talk about how this house is more than just a house, it is the beginning of Malik's legacy.
