🎙️ Let's work on starting your show, shall we? (It won't be easy at the start, but I'll surely make it fun!) Click here to see which option speaks to you the most.
🔗 With the permission of my business friend Višnja Željeznjak, whom I mention in this episode, I'm sharing the link to her article, which is, as I said, in Croatian (if you're curious, you can auto-translate the page and see what she has to say; fingers crossed it's a decent translation!).

Starting a podcast can feel simple from the outside: pick a topic, press record, publish. But the reality of podcasting — especially when you’re building a show to support your business — is that some parts are genuinely hard, and pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone.
In this episode, I’m exploring what "hard" actually means, why podcast growth is often slower than we’d like, and why that isn’t necessarily a problem. I also talk about the tension I’ve been thinking about lately between making things easier for my clients and being transparent about the patience and work that results require.
We’ll get into questions like:
- What does "slow" actually mean when you’re growing a podcast?
- Why can taking the first step feel both incredibly easy and incredibly hard?
- How does something difficult eventually become something that feels natural?
I also share a story from my own early days of podcasting, when interviewing someone in English on a public podcast felt like my version of choosing the hard thing — plus a reminder that even experienced podcasters can feel like beginners again.
If you’ve been hesitating to start your podcast, frustrated that growth isn’t happening fast enough, or wondering whether this should all feel easier by now, this episode offers a more realistic — and hopefully reassuring — perspective.
