¿Qué son las telas aéreas?
Empecemos hablando sobre qué son las telas aéreas para luego hablar de sus beneficios, sus implicaciones y cómo me he sentido desde que entreno en los aires.
Las telas aéreas también conocidas como telas acrobáticas, acrobacia en telas, gimnasia aérea, danza aérea, yoga aéreo o teatro aéreo, es una disciplina circense, específicamente del grupo aéreo. Ésta disciplina consiste en trabajar suspendido en el aire con tu mismo peso corporal.
Durante mucho tiempo se ha considerado que esto es algo únicamente del circo, sin embargo, en los últimos días se ha adoptado como una excelente actividad para tonificar los músculos, generar resistencia física y mantenerse en forma y saludable, a la cual cada vez se unen más personas de cualquier estereotipo.

En algunos de mis post hablaba sobre que nunca fui una niña de actividades físicas, particularmente los deportes me ponían de mal humor cuando se trataba de educación física, quizá porque uno de los complejos que tuve fueron los estereotipos físicos, y por siempre ser la más delgada del salón me decían cosas como que no duraría más de un minuto en algún torneo o juego aunado a ello que en verdad nunca me han interesado los deportes como el béisbol, fútbol, basketball, volleiball, kickingball,etc, eran y siguen siendo deportes que no me gustan en lo absoluto, así que no molestaba que no me escogieran en los equipos jaja (quizá era un poco floja y no lo quiero admitir jeje); aunque los puedo presenciar para compartir con alguien, como por ejemplo, los juegos de fútbol de mi sobrino mayor, quien es portero y es uno de los mejores en su equipo (por cierto lo puedes seguir en Instagram y apoyar su carrera como @juan.sanabria.segovia)

¿En qué consisten las telas aéreas y cómo se llama la tela? | What are aerial silks and what is the name of the silk?
Básicamente consiste en treparse usando ambas manos y las piernas, colgarse, suspenderse en el aire y amarrarse con ambas telas creando figuras, escapes (vean mis vídeos en 3speak donde enseño dos caídas en las telas aéreas, pronto compartiré otras caídas) o simplemente rutinas de secuencias de movimientos y; de transiciones de una figura a otra, además de sentirse libre y en adrenalina por la sensación de que estás volando en el aire, liberar estrés y generar confianza propia.
Mientras se realiza la actividad se involucra en todo momento el trabajo de piernas, abdomen y brazos y se despierta intensamente el sistema muscular es por esto que más que una disciplina artística del circo ha pasado a ser una forma divertida y fuera de lo común para mantenerse en forma.
Por lo general tiene una longitud de entre 16 metros y 25 metros, de acuerdo al área donde se practique, en mi país la tela es llamada muselina, en algunos países la llaman seda, sin embargo, desconozco si será la seda que todos conocemos como ya saben... ¡seda! Anyway... o si se conocerá como “musselina” en otras partes del mundo, la diversidad de nombres que adquiere se debe al enfoque que se le dé de acuerdo a lo que desees proponerte, la tela ayuda desde a realizar ejercicios de yoga, hasta para hacer acrobacias de gimnasia, números teatrales o de danza, hasta usarse como cuerdas de TRX para ejercitarse (ejercicios similares).

Esta es la pregunta más común que hacen los transeúntes cuando entrenas en algún lugar público, es comprensible que genere inseguridad el imaginarte que tu integridad física dependa de un “trapo” “cortina” “cinta” como las personas que no lo conocen en lo absoluto lo llaman, pero les garantizo que no se va a romper, y mientras no realicen esto solos y sigan al pie de la letra las instrucciones de sus entrenadores, no ocurrirá ningún accidente que se pueda lamentar.
Me enfocaré en unas líneas respecto al “¿y si rompo la tela?” pues este comentario suele salir de boca de personas gorditas o grandes, las personas mismas lo dicen de forma jocosa hacia ellos mismos, y en algunos casos los comentarios son tan elocuentes que a mi también me dan risa, pero siempre he analizado desde uno de los demonios que más nos aqueja a muchos y a veces no queremos aceptar, que es la inseguridad, que este comentario de “seguramente yo rompo la tela, con este peso, imagínate tú” nace de una concepción cruel que ha vendido el marketing sobre las “tallas” y “cuerpos ideales”.
¿Recuerdan alguna caricatura o película cómica donde el rasgo gracioso del “gordito” era que al entrar en una piscina o playa se salía toda el agua y quedaba vacío? ¿o que se sentaban en alguna silla y rompían la silla? ¿o rasgaban la ropa? Dando un mensaje de torpeza y de inutilidad exagerada desde mi parecer, es por esto más los estereotipos de tallas perfectas que existen los desórdenes alimenticios y problemas de salud mental.
Pese que tuve inseguridades por mi físico, debido a que en latinoamérica el prototipo que han inculcado tanto al exterior como a nosotros mismos, es que las latinas son mujeres voluptuosas, las europeas más delgadas etc, recuerdo comentarios como “tú cuerpo sería perfecto si vivieras en España” hasta preguntas de si sufría de algún desorden alimenticio, sin embargo al saber que toda mi familia es así, concluí que era algo natural y genético, así que como sé lo muy desagradable que son ese tipo de comentarios procuro alentar a la gente a motivarse a realizar cualquier actividad sin complejo alguno, así que les digo que el que yo sea delgada y practique esto es solo casualidad.
Les comparto el siguiente vídeo, un chico que iba pasando por donde estaba entrenando con mi compañero y una amiga, él dijo que seguro si se subía a la tela rompería el árbol o la tela ¿no les parece cruel que alguien se aprecie a sí mismo de esa manera? Conversando con el muchacho dijo estas palabras que me conmovieron a tal punto, “mi papá acaba de fallecer, y aquí me siento más cerca del cielo... estoy más cerca de él ¡TE AMO PAPÁ!”

Empezaré desde mi evolución corporal. Soy una chica de entre 46-48 kg, siempre he considerado que a pesar de que soy delgada no parece una delgadez insana (además de ser algo de genética) y he notado que tengo cierta facilidad para formar musculatura, aunque no era activa físicamente en mi infancia, a partir de los 15 años empecé a mostrar interés en algo que me ayudara a ganar confianza con mi cuerpo.
