Whenever I am lonely, whenever I am down
I'm going to the only exciting place in town
Where people get together, to get their food and such
And to discuss the weather, or just to keep in touch
Here Harry's meeting Sally, and Larry talks to Dale
While headed for the deli, where the turkey ham's on sale
Whenever I am low, my reaction is
I think I need to go to where the action is
There's a place here in the borough
Where the local folks will meet
They share their joy and sorrow
Right there on East Main Street
Pick your pick up truck and park it
In your good old parking space
At Saylor's Market
Our favorite meeting place
You never need much waiting, until the scene unwinds
Here we are parading our bellies and behinds
You know it's kind' a tough, not to treat ourselves
To all the good but heavy stuff that lures us from the shelves
Now something else is Ann, I met her by the meats
And then I saw her once again down by the baking needs
You should have seen her smile, I fell in love perhaps
While walking down the isle, with her to foils and wraps
There's a place here in the borough
Where the local folks will meet
They share their joy and sorrow
Right there on East Main Street
Pick your pick up truck and park it
In your good old parking space
At Saylor's Market
Our favorite meeting place
But sometimes I am tense, whem I'm going there
There is this eery sense, this feeling of despair
Some local kids have gone away to fight the war
There's yellow ribbons on the window of the store
This store that has a mission, they're in the borough for
Officially nutrition, but oh for so much more
There's a place here in the borough
Where the local folks will meet
They share their joy and sorrow
Right there on East Main Street
Pick your pick up truck and park it
In your good old parking space
At Saylor's Market
Our favorite meeting place
