Rebecca Lubbers graduated from Graceland University with an International Relations degree in 1989, then she graduated University of Missouri School of Law, Order of the Coif, Law Review, in 1991. Lubbers was a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bar Association. She practiced law at Shook, Hardy and Bacon in Kansas City. In 2002 Lubbers began teaching at St. Clair County Community College. Married for 30 years this year, she has two kids and a dog. She served on the MICA board of directors, several philanthropic committees/groups, church work, coached soccer and Destination Imagination teams.
