Jessica Totty is a dedicated and determined Mexican-American, American Indian, wife, grandmother, nurse, minister, and active community member.

Over 25 years ago, Jessica, and her husband, Kevin, moved to the Blue Water Area and decided to stay and raise their family. Jessica has three grandchildren. A graduate of Nursing from St. Clair County Community College, Jessica has worked at Lake Huron Medical Center for the past 23 years. Jessica is an ordained minister through the International Council of Community Churches, and serves as a chaplain for the Port Huron Police Department. Pastor Totty, has volunteered in the prison ministry for more than 15 years, bringing hope to people as they transition to a fruitful life. 

Jessica believes in giving back to the community. Jessica will utilize her experience, knowledge, and years of community involvement to actively support the beautiful Blue Water Area where she lives.

Brooklyn shares her perspective on her personal and athletic college life and how to move the racial barriers that impact the next generation.

Rebecca Lubbers graduated from Graceland University with an International Relations degree in 1989, then she graduated University of Missouri School of Law, Order of the Coif, Law Review, in 1991. Lubbers was a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bar Association. She practiced law at Shook, Hardy and Bacon in Kansas City. In 2002 Lubbers began teaching at St. Clair County Community College. Married for 30 years this year, she has two kids and a dog. She served on the MICA board of directors, several philanthropic committees/groups, church work, coached soccer and Destination Imagination teams.

David M. Fisher is an adjunct instructor of music at Saint Clair County Community College and teaches private lessons in Metro Detroit. David was born in California and moved to Missouri shortly before moving again to start first grade in Manistee, Michigan. David completed a Master’s in Music Composition, but continues to enjoy painting, skiing, chess, and cooking.

Haran Stanley was raised in Port Huron, Michigan. She attended Port Huron Area School. She graduated from Port Huron High in 2002. She went on to attend Michigan State University earning a degree in Zoology. She spent many years in the science field, teaching classes to students at the Ann Arbor Hands-on Museum, working in the education department at Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, IL and later a General Manager for a Luxury Pet Resort in Dallas, TX & Chicago, IL. 

Throughout her endeavors, she tried not to stray too far from her family's roots in civil service. As a young girl Haran was often in attendance of different programs that her Grandmother, Marguerite Stanley, organized. There were church events, NAACP functions, Southside Coalition meetings, and many other things. Throughout college Haran participated with MSUs Black Student Alliance Rally's and events. She also served on the African American Celebratory committee. 

Currently, she is a Job Developer for Community Enterprises, a member of SCC Better Together, and the Port Huron Branch of the NAACP. She presented the idea of a Black History Exhibit and has chaired a committee of community members in launching the Port Huron Museum’s permanent Black History Exhibit: From Whence We Came, Black History in the Blue Water Area.
