Scaling Sustainability Impact

Sustainability means many things to different groups, it might be increased greenery, clear water, renewable energy resources, alternative plastics, and any number of other ideas. But to many businesses it can often be simplified to net-zero commitments and government regulations. That simplification is exactly that, however and how businesses work on sustainability can diverge drastically.

To give some form to what sustainability means for industry, we have a discussion with Eryn Devola, the Head of Sustainability at Siemens Digital Industries and Dale Tutt, the Industry Strategy Leader at Siemens Digital Industries Software. In this first half of the discussion Eryn and Dale focus on the design aspects to sustainability, while part two covers the need to create an ecosystem for sustainability successes.

Welcome to the first episode of Siemens’ new podcast – Scaling Sustainability Impact: a podcast for industry. There is no headline topic today, I just wanted to introduce you to what we will be using this platform for in future episodes.

As the world grapples with the immediate need to combat climate change and conserve our natural resources, industrial companies play a pivotal role in creating meaningful change. And the voices in this podcast are as diverse as the players it needs to tackle this complex issue. Sometimes it might be our Head of Sustainability at Siemens Digital Industries – Eryn Devola. Other times it could be an engineer or Siemens expert that is working closely with our customers to implement the tools for sustainability.
