Spidey and Bob return again to talk about... well... Bob, actually. Then, after they go through a brief history of Satan, they touch on the various schoolyard alien encounters through the ages.

Read the book "Schoolyard UFO Encounters", by Preston Dennett for more in-depth information on 100 UFO encounters by school children.

This was A LOT of work to complete, so we hope you enjoy this episode.

Welcome to Episode 180 of Scatterbrain Podcast. If you have heard that quote before, then you know who Carl Sagan was. The problem with that quote is that there is ( and has been ) mountains of evidence that the UFO Phenomenon is real, and the fact is that even proof would not be good enough to those die-hard debunkers who refuse to use logic, and continue to live in paralyzing fear of their reality.

First, we review the new album, "SmashBlaster", by Florida's thrashy Smash 'Em Up.

Then, we delve into the nearly three years of crystal-clear video taken between 2007-2009 in Turkey showing what appears to be a literal flying saucer hovering over the sea. But, extraordinary evidence doesn't actually count after all, we've come to surmise.

Welcome to our SEASON 5 PREMIER! It's Episode 178!

We start season five off strong with some reminiscing about the pod-past, bitching a little about some of the headaches that 2023 "gifted" us, some random space news, and the obligatory metal banter.

Then, we dive right into our main topic, and it's a good one! Good and confusing! "The Chilean Timeslip Mystery", is what we are calling it. Also known as "The Armando Valdes UFO Encounter", or "The Abduction of Armando Valdes."

On April 25th, 1977 in Pampa Lluscuma, Chile, something strange happened to Cpl. Valdes in front of his men that was truly unexplainable and unsettling. He says it happened, then it didn't happen, then some of it happened, then that he would tell all in his book... which was never published. Only leaving everyone with more questions. Except for his men. His men who were there and witnessed the terrifying events. They have never wavered with their version of the incident, leaving no doubt that SOMETHING happened to Cpl. Valdes. Something that he, himself, did not want to face or accept.

Thanks to our core army of loyal listeners! We know who you are, and appreciate all of you! And if you are new to the madness... WELCOME! We will grow on you. We promise.

Season 4 of Scatterbrain Podcast is in the books!

For the year-end review 2023, we trimmed all of the fat: no special guests or individual album re-reviews. Only our official AOTY, runner-up, and 3rd, 4th, and 5th favorite albums will be discussed. Also, some random metal banter and scattered thoughts.

Episode 177 is the last episode of 2023, so enjoy!

We'll be back with a new episode on January 10, 2024 to kick off Season 5 - for the love of heavy music and high-strangeness!

Thanks for listening, Scatterbrains!

Happy New Year, and be good to one another. We appreciate you all!
