The Bonnies landed coveted big man, Osun Osunniyi. The Bonnies outlasted the Hoyas of Georgetown and their hated rival Syracuse Orange for the coveted 6-10 Center out of Putnam Academy. He leads an already highly touted recruiting class but brings the Bonnies quality assurance that they will be set in their frontcourt for the foreseeable future. The Bonnies also brought in Bobby Planutis, a transfer from Mount St. Mary’s meaning he will have to sit out this upcoming season. It is one of the most interesting signings in Schmidt’s tenure as he has never recruited such a consistent three-point shooting big man.

The St. Bonaventure men's basketball team entered the off-season with some major holes on the roster. The teams two top players are set to graduate, so head coach Mark Schmidt and company had eyes all across the country in rebuilding his rotation.
