Show Notes

If you want to understand what is at the heart of a humane education both for students and teachers, this episode will inspire you to embrace scholé as the foundation of a beautiful education. Dr. Looney gives an anechdote of applying scholé in an AP history and literature class while applying the phases of the trivium into the lessons. Dr. Looney emphasizes that the pedagogy and schedule of a school reflect its anthropological position. Administrators need to establish the culture and carefully consider blocks of time for each class in order to lay the proper foundation for scholé.
