How do you define success? That was the reason I embarked on this journey, to begin with. Some say it's money or power, but what about happiness? How come we don't measure how successful someone is by how bright they smile? Success, I've learned is following your passion and to not let anything stop you from pursuing that passion. Money, power, and whatever you desire will come with it (usually). I'm becoming more interested on just the beautiful minds that I am surrounded by. Even though they might not fit your definition of success, they are well on their way to living a successful and fulfilling life. Reyna Noriega is definitely on the launching pad. She is a high school teacher, who teaches Digital Art and Coding, and who runs the National Art Honor Society and art club. She also dazzles with her photography, writing, and styling skills.

With so many health "experts" and new documentaries *cough "What the Health" cough* speaking on nutrition, I get lost in the sea of it. I try my hardest to pick and choose which ones that seem to be valid, but they all seem to contradict each other. I thought maybe the young and powerful entrepreneur, Kasey Render, of Family Dreams Fitness (FDF), might be able to guide me to a better understanding. His knowledge of what it takes to be healthy is portrayed through his many clients. Listen to Kasey explains how, fitness only scratches the surface, on what FDF does and plans on doing.

The "war on drugs" is such a topic of debate that most people don't like bringing it up at dinner. Rather than talk about an issue and hammer out some differences, going mute is the preferred option so no one gets offended. Next time someone brings up the "war on drugs," don't shy away from the discussion, embrace it. Talking about an uncomfortable topic can make the very same subject easier to talk about next time. Just make sure to have the facts straight and don't be so passionate that your points get lost in your attitude. Adolphus P. Food, water, and shelter. Those are the three basic necessities of life. Every person should be entitled to those basic needs, but unfortunately, not everyone is successful. The one I focused on in this episode was "shelter. Even the Founding Fathers of the United States realized how important it is for people to have their own property and own space. That's why they included in the Declaration of Independence the "unalienable right," better known as "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." In those rights, is the ability to own personal property. Keith Grandy, certified Broker and an instructor at Gold Coast Schools (a Real Estate School) may not have been born an American, but he capitalized on the Founding Fathers promise of allowing citizens to own personal property. Police officers have what I call a lose-lose job. No matter what they do, they can't seem to catch a break, in terms of how they are perceived by citizens. If something bad happens they are the first ones to get blamed. If they do something right, they get the "congratulations you're just doing your job." Recently the tensions have grown with all the coverage of the police shootings, which to me shows more of the flaws in reporting, rather than how officers do their job (but that's a whole other ball game). Richard Blom, former Police Chief of Doral in Miami-Dade County is trying to change those perceptions. Aside from being a police chief he's also handled security details for Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump (before he became president) as well as many others including Margret Thatcher! Mr. Blom wants to emphasize that police officers should provide public service and be "guardians" of a community and not be simply painted as"warriors." He's now developing a program with Florida International University to help change the perception of police officers from the inside. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" This might be the most asked question kids get. The answers tend to lead to firefighter, astronaut, or musician. Even though these glorified positions are important and aren't restricted to only safety, discovery, and entertainment; it's rare to find a profession where you need to juggle all these at once.  What might be even rarer, is to hear a child say, "I want to be a teacher!" It's a job that is extremely valuable, yet it is overlooked like the salt in the ocean. We seem to just take them for granted. Florida International University professor, Dr. Lynn Yribarren, is a Senior Instructor with a Doctorate in Curriculum and instruction. She answers why this may be and how the education system is often overlooked.  By challenging her students to get the most out of their education, Dr. Yribarren does her part molding educators simply by asking them to think critically.
