This complete the thoughts begun in part 1 of James 1:19-21 and describes much to put into practice.  James is speaking to people, recent Christians, and gives some practical helps that require discipline.

James 1:12-14 continues our study how mankind is so easily drawn away.  We examine the reasons for this and how to fight against it.  As we clearly see why we are drawn away from God, we learn how to resist and the help that is available right now.

James helps us understand our own failings and difficulties.  It is within us to blame someone or something else when we fall short or sin.  James gives wonderful insight into the human psyche to help us live according to our higher calling.

The letter of James gives us such practical help very applicable for our day.  Trials and troubles lead us to find all we truly need in our Lord God.  Sometimes our perspective changes when we recognize the value of difficult times.

James shows us that we are equal in Jesus Christ.  Although this world's wealth may keep some from economic problems, when real crisis comes, we are all on equal footing.  All know sorrow, hurt, pain and death.  Listen in to find your hope in the greater things the Lord offers.
