In this episode we cover the PL games in GW 30 and the RO16 Leg 2 for Chelsea and Liverpool

We start off with Liverpool getting held at a frustrating draw against Spurs at Anfield as despite the massive attacking talent in Liverpool, their only goal was scored a Dominik Szoboszalai Free Kick which rolled over Vicario's fingers in the goal. The Hungarian has broken Liverpool's record for most direct FKs by a single player in the league. Raj questions Slot's decision to play Frimpong at RW and Szoboszalai at RB eventually leading to Richarlison getting a free run in the Liverpool box for the equalizer. However he lays the major chunk of blame on Liverpool's attack. We also discuss what made Liverpool be so good against Galatasaray smashing 4 goals past the Turkish Giants, who could have even conceded more

We also discuss the misery Chelsea has been inflicted with in both Champions League and the League as Newcastle beat Chelsea with a simple goal at Stamford Bridge and PSG widen the scoreline to finish off Chelsea. Chinmay raises major doubts over the future of Liam Rosenior.

We also briefly touch the United vs Aston Villa game where Bruno gave 2 assists, the 2nd one to Cunha being absolutely world class and securing a relatively straightforward win vs the Villians. Aston Villa is on the brink of collapse in the league. There is a discussion if Bruno can rise up in the Balon'dor odds if he plays well for Portugal in the World Cup

We all have our woes to share this week. 

Chelsea began March with a bang beating Aston Villa convincingly at Villa Park with Joao Pedro getting his first Premier League hattrick. There was a scare on the weekend as Wrexham nearly dragged Chelsea into a scary scoreline in Extra Time. Chelsea lacked creativity in their B-squad as the team somehow got over the line. The real shock came on Wednesday as PSG avenged Chelsea with a 20-minute sucker punch finishing the home time 5-2 with a mountain to climb for Chelsea

Liverpool also had a mixed week with 20th place Wolverhampton Wanderers beating the champions at Molineux with a 2-1 score despite a Salah goal. Liverpool thrashed the same Wolves in FA Cup with an inspiring performance by Rio Ngumhoa and Andy Robertson

United and Carrick finally face a loss as 10 men Newcastle beat United at St. James's Park with a difficult goal by Will Osula. United has been dragged back in the Top 4/5 race due to this result.

Finally we discuss how this week has bought the English coefficient considered to be very comfortable as Spain and Germany make good progress. This is especially jarring since Barcelona and PSG both have their weekend games moved whereas the UCL opponents in Chelsea and Newcastle face off on Saturday.

We discuss the GW 28 fixtures;

Chelsea lose to Arsenal's Set-piece routines. Some other topics of discussion include Reece James being such a contrast to his teammates in handling big-game pressure. The shambolic red-card record, Palmer's lack of form and why Chelsea could lose out on Champions League spots in 2026-27.

We also discuss Liverpool thrashing West Ham with amazing second ball retrieval in set-plays; a factor that made the side the domineering force in 2024-25 season. We praise Ekitike and Szoboszalai for being the players leading the charge. We also discuss the fact that West Ham is generating chances, but their record on defending is poor to survive relegation when compared to Nottingham Forest and Leeds. 

We discuss Manchester United's win against Palace leading to the team now being 3rd in the table. We praise the immense mentality shown by the team to not give up and get a win against tough sides like Crystal Palace and Everton.

We record this episode to discuss a good-old Premier League week.

Though the week was highlighted by Arsenal stomping over Spurs again in the NLD, we had changes in the race for Champions League, with Liverpool equaling Chelsea's point total with a win against Forest at City Ground with a winner scored by Mcallister in extra time.

Chelsea meanwhile dropped a point to Burnley after they had the numerical advantage following a rash red card for Wes Fofana. Overall we discuss why the performance looked so dull by Chelsea against the 19th team at Stamford Bridge. We also preview the Arsenal game on the weekend.

Manchester United make it 10 games in a row where Sesko scores another goal off the bench. Other notable performers include Casimiro, Yoro and Lammens.

We meet on the evening when Chelsea and Liverpool are both through to the 5th round of the FA Cup.

We also discuss the PL results from midweek where Chelsea and Manchester United broke their winning streaks against Leeds and West Ham United. We admonish Chelsea's poor defence when they let a 2-0 lead at 70' wither away and praise Sesko for the point earned by an improvised finish. We also discuss Liverpool beating Sunderland at the Stadium of Light emphatically, as a result of very good finish by Virgil Van Djik.

We also discuss Chelsea comfortably beating Hull City and Liverpool beating Brighton in FA Cup, with Pedro Neto getting his 1st senior hattrick and Szoboszalai stepping up big time as his suspension got cut down to 1 game following his red card against Manchester City

Some other topics discussed include Arsenal dropping points to Brentford; Spurs sacking Frank; Forest sacking Sean Dyche.

We discuss the poor defending by Chelsea and United's attack going blunt despite both clubs enjoying a long unbeaten run. We also discuss how Liverpool become the first team in the league to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

There were other interesting developments in the PL with Arsenal dropping points to Brenftord who beat Arsenal at their own game generating more xG, more big chances, despite only earning a single point. We also see how the 3-6 positions in the PL are all up for grabs. 

Furthermore, Thomas Frank and Sean Dyche being relieved of their duties as these teams with European competitions to be played. 

Finally we discuss Chelsea and Liverpool's wins against Hull City and Brighton with Aston Villa being eliminated by Newcastle at Villa park.
