In this episode of Science is here, host Barry Fitzgerald speaks with Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) researchers Anna Wieczorek and Rene Janssen about the energy transition, the importance of community initiatives, and solar cell technologies. 

Anna is an expert on sustainability transitions, and she’s a founding member of this field, which was established about 20 years ago. She studies large-scale social technical changes in systems that provide crucial human needs such as energy systems.

Rene leads the Molecular Materials and Nanosystems group at TU/e, and he is working on the development of organic and perovskite materials for future solar cell technologies.
