Listen Later

In this episode of Science is here, host Barry Fitzgerald speaks with Professor Menno Prins from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Jesse Jägers, a TU/e masters student in biomedical engineering, about biosensors and SensUs.

SensUs is an international biosensor competition based at TU/e. It was founded by Menno Prins with the first event taking place in 2016. Every year, student teams from around the world are asked to develop a biosensor to monitor the concentration of a molecule of interest for healthcare applications. Jesse was part of the TU/e TEST team that competed in SensUs 2020 and won the creativity award.

In the episode, Menno and Jesse chat about biosensors, SensUs 2020, and what to expect in SensUs 2021.
