The Walt Disney Company has seen better times. And while some of their hardship can be attributed to external forces -- pandemic, inflation, etc. -- a lot of the company's woes can be laid at the feet of the man who's now trying to save it: Bob Iger. Amidst the on-going union strike by the Writers Guild, many actors -- members of their own union -- stood on the picket lines in solidarity. Now, the members of SAG-AFTRA are picketing themselves as the actors join the writers in a strike.

As Hollywood grinds to a halt, the implications of a long-term pair of strikes come into focus. Not since 1960 have these two unions struck together at the same time. And it's going to have a lot more impact than a lot of people realize.
