The gang are headed to Egypt this chapter when an old ally recruits them to help on a dig in the pyramids. But when there's a drought and people are turning into zombies we see Shaggy and Scooby taking the lead on this mystery when their friends are caught in the middle of the curse. This chapter we see some development in character for Shaggy and Scooby as well as some possible background from Fred.

The gang are headed to Africa to get some wild life on film. But upon arriving they discover the animals are starting to go missing, and even trample them! After getting shipwrecked it becomes a hunt to save Scooby from being kidnapped and figure out why all the animals are going crazy. In this chapter we learn some history of Daphne's childhood we didn't see in the Pup series. We get some more of Freds love for filming and even some solid evidence of Shaggy's vegetarian diet.
