I am back on the podcast and also back on editing duties. Technical issues have been resolved and my new puppy has settled into his new home. Alfie joins us for the first few minutes, but quickly falls asleep due to the boring chat about Scottish football.

McBookie have kindly allowed us to continue the first scorer charity bet into the playoffs, so after the disappointment of another winless weekend, we have a little positivity that may or may not bring us luck.

We discuss the highlights from the top tier, including a contender for goal of the season (or was it just a shot that the keeper didn’t want to save?), manhandling referees in a way that only Bougherra is allowed to do, amongst other talking points.

Outside the top tier, many of the promotion and relegation places were secured, with the play off places being secured to eventually decide the remainder of the ups and downs. Further to that discussion, congratulations to the respective winners of the four tiers.

Should Yogi have won manager of the year, and should the awards be held back until the end of the season?

Should Ann Budge be celebrating the trophy before her players, and should Craig Levein get more credit?

Craig

Krys hosts once again as Craig takes a week out to play with a puppy. If only those running the game would do the same, Scottish football would be in a much better state.

Krys is joined by Greig and John, and among other things they discuss the possible/probable plight of Motherwell in the Premiership playoff, who Queen of the South will face in the first round of that same playoff, the exciting upcoming finale to the extremely tight League One title race, and the remaining playoff spots for the Championship and League One playoffs.

Yes, that's how they're named despite being three quarters made up from the division below.

The Pyramid playoff gets a mention as well just to cap everything off, and of course the ongoing title race in the Premiership gets a mention too, before discussing the likelihood of another title race next season.

Finally there's a look at the still ridiculously early Player of the Year awards, before we try to pick another charity bet winner - which takes a while due to temptation.

Game of Thrones was back this week, so Craig, Krys and John all decided to wait until Tuesday this week to talk about a busy week in Scottish Football.

Okay, Craig and Krys watched Game of Thrones, John had work commitments.

Midweek Premiership fixtures including a Dundee derby, weekend Premiership fixtures including Aberdeen getting a helping hand from the referee in a game they dominated anyway, key games in both the Premiership and the Championship as far as the playoffs are concerned... all of that pales into insignificance when Craig drops a bombshell at the end of the podcast.

Hearts sealed the Championship title at the weekend, so it’s perfect timing to get Laurie on to discuss his team.

Krys gets another shot of hosting so he can bask in the glory of his team's triumph in capturing the first domestic honours of the season. But being the humble kind, he immediately hands over to this week's guests John and Greig so they can talk about their teams' Friday night battle in the Premiership.

Talk then progresses to the other Premiership games and arguably the worst charity bet attempt yet, before taking a look at the Championship to see if Hearts have won it yet and how the run for the playoffs is shaping up for the other teams miles behind them. Finally they get back to talk about the events at Hampden before focusing on the next important game at Hampden - Scotland's attempted thumping of Gibraltar (with a side order of a Northern Irish friendly) - as Gordon Strachan's latest squad choices are up for scrutiny.

It’s me, Greig and Krys again this week, because John is in jail.

Rangers EGM and our brief opinion on King. Sticking with Rangers, we touch on whether an old or new manager is likely anytime soon.

Camshy suggested on the forum (http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/topic/20179-podcast-topics/) that we discuss top scorers.

Celtic vs St Johnstone, Motherwell vs Killie and Ross county vs Partick Thistle are the Premiership games that we discuss. With Krys and Greig both going to the first two.

The Premiership was quiet due to the Scottish Cup quarter finals. The live game on cooncil telly wasn’t really up to much, apart from the headed goal from Sibbald.

Hibs vs Berwick Rangers wasn’t the contest it may have been and I even give Cummings some praise.

Dundee United vs Celtic was the big talking point of the weekend, largely due to red cards and the lack of red cards. Derek Riordan’s headed equaliser is applauded, and rightly so.

The charity bet is McMenamin of Stenhousemuir for first scorer, and Ross County and St Johnstone for the McBookie charity double. The latter returns just under £100 for a tenner.
