Scott's Sporting Corner/ That LFC Podcast

In this episode of Scott’s Sport Corner, I finally sit down to talk about my return to log press after four months away from training.
I discuss the injuries that forced me to step back, the challenges of recovery, and how the time away has completely changed my approach to strength training. I also share why I’ve spent months researching some of the world’s best strength athletes—and why I’ve realised that simply copying enhanced athletes isn’t the right path for a natural competitor.
I also revisit my recent Substack on Thomas Tuchel, reflecting on England’s World Cup campaign, whether Tuchel delivered on expectations, and what comes next for the national team. To round things off, I give my latest thoughts on Liverpool under Andoni Iraola, how the team is developing, and where I think the Reds are heading this season.
In this episode:
* My return to log press after four months* The injuries that changed my training* Training as a natural strength athlete* Lessons learned from researching elite strongmen* Thomas Tuchel’s England after the World Cup* Liverpool under Andoni Iraola* What’s next for me, both in the gym and on the podcast

Over the past few years, football fans have seen the rise of narratives, clickbait headlines, PR-driven reporting, and an ever-growing divide between supporters and sections of the media. But has football journalism lost its way?
