All Things Considered Franchising Podcast

Scotty Milas' All Things Considered Franchising Podcast with Russ Jacque of BioOne

Listen Later

Today’s guest on "All Things Considered Franchising" is Russ Jacque. Over 15 years of franchise experience and currently working with
Bio-One.

Bio-One sets the standards when it comes to crime scene cleanup, biohazard decontamination,
medical waste, hoarding locations, and odor removal.

Russ has worked in many different industries. Every industry, from the restaurant business to
business development and operations, to franchising.

When asked about advice he would give to potential franchisees, he states, “I would
recommend you find a coach. There are many different groups out there that specialize in
helping people get into and understand franchising. There are a lot of franchising opportunities
out there, and it can get very overwhelming.” He equates it to chest pain. “You wouldn’t want to self-diagnose or go to a plumber about the problem. You want to go the expert(doctor) for the solution.”

Russ feels that Bio-One is a unique franchise for people to get into. “The services we offer are
things that happen in every single medium to large market in the country. Hoarding, odor
remediation and fentanyl cleanup is becoming a very big service. So, the services we offer are
needed and very welcome when they have to be done.”

Russ also believes that this business is not about sales. It’s about being at the right place at the
right time when the service is needed, so establishing relationships with police officers, EMTs,
paramedics, coroners, and victim advocacy groups are vital.
