This episode of the Scouting Hot Finds Podcast check in to see what are some of the most interesting auctions on eBay in the Boy Scout category.  First up we look at an Explorer Silver Award medal from the 1950s.  I go back and correct a broken link in the newsletter by highlighting an auction for a large Boy Scout poster that looks very much like a Rockwell inspired piece.  The big listing special a week ago has eBay sellers "tspa" and "pgit" having big finishes today.  Finally we check in on the Price is Right Facebook contest and hear about a Scouting related website that is a great time waster! Join the santeeswapper for a discussion of the best live auctions on eBay.  In this episode we are taking a closer look at a nice 1930s era Boy Scout lot that includes an Eagle medal, sash, and more.  I will also tell you about some rare Sea Scout blue insignia patches that are practically twins.  In OA I've got a focus on a Lodge 404 Ti'ak dance team patch from the 1970s.  We will also hear about a contest on the Facebook Page and my experience teaching Patch Trading 101 at my Order of the Arrow Fall Fellowship. Today on the Scouting Hot Finds Podcast we take a look at the Top 10 Video series that I am starting up on the blog at ScoutingHotFinds.com.  These youtube videos are short reports on the Boy Scout category of eBay showing the Top 10 selling auctions from the last week.  I'm headed off to the Santee Lodge 116 Fall Fellowhsip with plans to teach a Patch Trading 101 class Saturday afternoon.  I'll be asking for some advice on that effort.  Turning to live auctions we have several worth talking about including two big OA listings on a Lodge 311 F1 and a Lodge 345 F2 Flap.  I'll tell you where to find some .99 cent auctions and I'll even place a bid live on the air (editors note: I WON!).  We check in on the TOR calendar with upcoming shows in New England, St. Louis and New Jersey.  Just for fun their is a poll question on the Facebook Page found at Facebook.com/Scoutinghotfinds.  I also give a special on air discount for anyone who wants to try out the "Shop" tab on the Facebook Page. In this inaugural episode of the Scouting Hot Finds Podcast we will find out what are the best live auctions in the Boy Scout category of eBay.  Featured auctions include an incredible listing that ended Monday night for a West Surburban Council cut-edge csp from 1960 that sold for multiple times its book value in a bidding war.  You will also hear about my favorite live auctions including a pair of gold Eagle Scout rings, huge mixed lots out of Texas and a very rare Explorer council strip that has a sad story.  eBay is running a listing special on Tuesday, October 25th and I'll give you the details on that.  Find more Scouting memorabilia content and all of my podcasts at http://www.scoutpatchcollectors.com.
