The imagery that lyrics invoke in songs can be very powerful. They can take us back in time to the place we first heard them. They're like an anchor or placeholder in a way if you think about it. lyrics set to music can also launch us into new worlds altogether. The mind is a powerful instrument and certain themes and stories told through music are mysterious to us still. Mark Lindsay and Eloy Escagedo talk about this topic using the song Graceland by Paul Simon as an example.
The hosts then get into the conversation of famous guitars. We've all heard about famous musicians of coarse, and we like to delve into the music of certain decades more than others like the 60s and 70s. But here we talk about the instruments that just might be as popular as the people who play them.
Then Mark and Eloy talk about famous recording studios along with other interesting conversations. Check it out!

Strange titles for songs, poetry and our podcast. We spend a little time talking about the topic. Then we talk about the timelines of our grandparents and the events that surrounded them. As well as the advances that have shaped both Mark Lindsay and Eloy Escagedo in their lifetime. After that, we talk about a variety of interesting topics.

Fireworks and celebrations are a little different in Miami, Florida, and Medford, Oregon. In Miami, the sounds of congas in the distance can be heard all around and in Oregon, they pop illegal fireworks early in the day leading up to midnight. Mark and Eloy get into the celebration mood and talk about how things are done in their areas. Then Eloy mentions the fact that we humans are very ritualistic and many times forget why it is we follow certain traditions. Mark then adds his thoughts on the matter and the conversation takes more interesting turns. Mark then posses the question of the day! The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame hopefuls are in and the question is, who is deserving of induction into this prestigious museum? Well the conversation gets interesting with Band names and solo artists
being shuffled in and out of position. It's a fun discussion and entertaining episode. Check it out!
