Episode 48: Going to therapy is still seen as a taboo activity in the black community. Whether for it being perceived as a sign of weakness, lack of faith, or a costly expenditure many people pull back from the idea of going into a room with a stranger to talk about their problems. Only recently we are beginning to talk about mental health in an open space but, we are still in the earlier stages of that discussion . However, it is unquestionable there are benefits waiting for those who commit to the experience.
