Episode 9: Today's episode you finally get to hear from me! And, as hinted in my pilot episode, I bring back Tracy Laguerre to interview me. I talk about my early beginnings travelling with family and then with academic groups. Tracy also dives into my love for hotels and how it impacts how I travel. We also chat about travelling during the pandemic and how brands have had to adapt over the last year. Tracy also talks about my first blog and how I transitioned into becoming a travel consultant. She keeps me laughing with fun questions.

Anthony Bourdain quotation: “Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”

Episode 7: This week, we fly with Hauwa, an engaging travel blogger, YouTuber, and content creator with a unique gift of storytelling--not only with words, but also with video. Hauwa starts off with her first journey as a teenager through her home country, Ghana (Africa) and takes us through the capital city, Accra. Most recently she has returned from Senegal; this transformative destination impressed her with their procedures in place during the pandemic. Hauwa beautifully bridges the gap between travelling as a kid and as an adult, all while painting a portrait--not only of herself and her brand, Shesuthman, but also a portrait of every city she steps into. As we learn how to travel ethically, we also learn how travel unifies us as people.

On today's episode, I take to the skies with traveller, photographer, and content creator, Marquita Jennings. Originally bitten by the travel bug as a teenager exploring the Bahamas with her aunt, she returned to travel as an Auditor. Initially, she travelled domestically as an auditor, blending various cultures to get the job done. Later, as she grew seasoned, she explored China, Russia, and Brazil! Kita brings a wealth of knowledge on travelling while on the job--a perspective that, at times, can differ from the leisure traveller. She also speaks on travelling to Bermuda during the global pandemic.
