Title: The Lost In The Music Edition
Hi folks.
This collage is all about my love for music and how it gives me solace, in this crazy world.
I spent quite some time tracking down the famous quote by the lovely Marsha P. Johnson (the trans activist of Stonewall fame):
I got lost in the music in 1963 at Stonewall… No! No, it was Stonewall – it was 1967 that I got lost. In 19 – oh my dear, Stonewall, I got lost at Stonewall. Heard it through the grapevine. 1969! I got lost in the music and I couldn’t get out.
It is featured in the short film “Happy Birthday Marsha!” that can be streamed here (for a bit of money).
Sometimes i does feel like i got lost in the music as well. And that i never found my way out.
Sometimes it feels like music is the only thing that keeps me going.
And at the same time, life is so fucking cruel.
Life gave me tinnitus and a hypersensitivity to noise.
Music is never noise, but sometimes it does hurt now.
Like right now, my ears are ringing quite a bit after working on this collage.
Fuck!
;(
So here it is.
The latest SITV-audio collage.
What do you think?
I hope you enjoy it.
If you do, please tell a friend
I encourage people to support the artists and musicians that are featured in these short collages.
The tracklist: (music borrowed with all due respect to the artists):
