Screams from the Basement

All horror is elevated horror, but not all horror is "elevator" horror unless of course you are talking about the 1983 Dutch horror THE LIFT or the 2010 M. Night Shyamalan produced supernatural film DEVIL like we are on this episode! Hop on the elevator with us because our next stop is two wildly fun horror films centered around Willy Wonka's favorite mode of transportation, the elevator!

Death has come to the basement this week, as Sam and Casey finally discuss a franchise they were destined to cover on the show at some point. As part of a crossover series with their fellow PFPN shows, they’re covering a double feature of FINAL DESTINATION (2000) and FINAL DESTINATION 5 (2011). How do these two films rate within the franchise at large? What is Sam and Casey’s history with this seminal millennial horror series? Just how much fun is Tony Todd having in these movies? All this and more on this self-described “party episode” of Screams from the Basement!

In the most contentious episode of Screams from the Basement yet, Sam and Casey are tackling two underseen entries in the ‘00s slasher remake boom! First, they go on a PG-13 date with Prom Night (2008) before going full sisterhood of the traveling tire iron with Sorority Row (2009). Yes, this was a Sam pick. No, Casey will never let this happen again.
