If you think visiting your family at Christmas was awkward, try doing one where you actively know someone is about to die! This English-language remake of the Danish film “Silent Heart” is directed by Roger Mitchell (“Notting Hill”, “Morning Glory”) and written, both times over, by Christian Torpe. Susan Sarandon leads an all-star cast of Sam Neill, Kate Winslet, Mia Wasikowska, Rainn Wilson, and Lindsay Duncan in a family dramedy about acceptance, love, forgiveness, and mortality. Gathered together for this morbid feast are Ben, Mindy, Jordan, and Frank. Let’s see if they’re ready to let this movie pass peacefully or, you know, the other thing.
