BLOOD RED SKY MOVIE REVIEW

Nadja (Peri Baumeister) and her son Elias are making a transatlantic flight to the US seeking treatment for her unusual condition. The trip is already complicated enough, due to Nadja’s situation, but things get decidedly worse when the plane is seized by a deadly team of skyjackers. Fatally wounded in the initial assault, and desperate to save her child, Nadja has no choice but to reveal that she’s a goddamn vampire…and not the pretty, romantic, kind. She’s a savage, animalistic,“30 Days Of Night”, throat-ripping Nosferatu. Aided by her son, and his newfound friend, Farid, Nadja tries to regain control of the plane, before the hijackers kill more people, or the sun rises. Wright pilots his crew, Rae, Neil, and Lewayne on a perilous flight, as they review this new Netflix movie, discuss vampire lore, complicated terrorist plots, difficult decisions, whether Blood Red Sky lands successfully or crashes and burns, and, perhaps most importantly, if you should listen to any other critics.

I first got hooked on movies when I saw Star Wars at a drive-in theater as a kid. Growing up in a small, rural town meant not having access to a lot of movies. In college, that all changed. I couldn’t get enough. I love it all — flicks, films, movies, and cinema. I still have that wide-eyed wonder of that kid watching movies from the back of a pick-up truck at the drive-in.

 

 

Lewayne White (Screener Squad)

Lewayne’s earliest memories are of watching movies and reading comics, which instilled in him a sense of wonder, a vivid imagination, and unrealistic expectations. It also means he spends a lot of time watching movies, writing scripts for them, and trying to get them made. He lives in the middle of middle America after landing there as a child, and has remained there mainly because he hates packing.
