CASTLE IN THE GROUND MOVIE REVIEW

It doesn’t feel like the best time to release a film so mired in darkness. And not fun darkness, like in a horror movie. No, we’re talking spiraling addiction and familial death. Yay. You got Alex Wolff who is taking care of his mom (Neve Campbell) who is dying in her home, regularly upping her dose of pain meds just to deal. Next door you got the new neighbor (Imogen Poots) who is cute, but, for lack of a better term, a manic pixie nightmare girl, who is unsuccessfully trying to quit hard drugs while an assortment of ne’er do-wells drops by at all hours. These things do not combine into a happy story. And Adrian, Julien, Jordan, and Chris were none too happy about it. Listen to their review here.
