INVINCIBLE – SEASON 1 SERIES REVIEW

Did you know Robert Kirkman wrote comics other than The Walking Dead? Now you have a chance to dive headfirst into the entertaining and also very violent world of his other longest running series, “Invincible”. The story follows Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), the 17-year old son of the world’s greatest superhero Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). As his own powers are awakened, Mark decides to follow in his father’s footsteps and become the superhero Invincible to save the world. However, the world Mark is trying to protect is full of brutal enemies, terrible consequences, and dark secrets. No more so than when it becomes clear that some of the darkest secrets may be hidden within his own family. Justin, Mike, Mark, and Jamarco have become their own super reviewing team to tell you why Amazon’s latest violent superhero show may be their best, despite a few notable flaws.

Born on the southside of Houston, TX, Jamarco (or Marco, as he’s affectionately named, and NEVER Marco Polo) developed a lifelong love for everything pop culture ever since he was running around in his Blue Ranger Underoos. It wasn’t until a five-year detour in Burbank that he discovered that this love would inspire a passion for years to come. When he’s not raving about cinematography and Spider-Verse, he’s been known to make hip hop instrumentals to pass the time. He aspires to join the ranks of such great Renaissance Men as Donald Glover, John Cassavetes, and Jamie Foxx, but until then, you can catch him trying to make sense of whatever Christopher Nolan just released.
