THE TOMORROW WAR MOVIE REVIEW

30 minutes from now, you will have listened to this review. You will know what Justin, Chad, Alan, and T.C.  think about this Amazon Prime Video release. You will have made your decision about whether or not you will see this movie….

That is in the future.

This post has come back to tell you of that future.

Now, we need you to come with us to secure that future, by listening to the review of The Tomorrow War. Set in 2022, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to offer a warning. In their future, mankind is on the brink of extinction after an invasion from a deadly alien species. Their only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future to join the fight. And, believe it or not, the entire world – every government and nation – bands together to do just that, drafting and sending anyone who can hold a gun to fight (and most likely die) for the cause.
Among those recruited is high school teacher, Iraq War veteran, and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a battle-hungry veteran (Edwin Hodge), a talkative and nebbish widower (Sam Richardson), a brilliant scientist from the future (Yvonne Strahovski), and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

Justin Zarian (Screener Squad, Eye on the Prize, Breakfast Pub, Assistant Site Manager)
Justin’s fate as a movie fanatic was written in the stars when his birth forced his parents to cancel their planned Oscar viewing party. While growing up in California, he was often seen in front of the television watching and re-watching Star Wars, Jurassic Park, classic Disney movies and a steady stream of animated shows. This eventually led to a B.A. in Film at Brigham Young University and an Outstanding Student Teacher Award for displaying a level of film knowledge so insane that even his fellow film students couldn’t compete. He received his M.A. from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a teaching certificate, but still volunteers at One of Us every so often for the fun of it. His hobbies include non-stop film conversations, wondering how Mass Effect 3’s ending went so wrong, espousing the joys of shooting guns (but not hunting, as he’s quick to note), writing the next great American television show in his head, and anything else entertainment related. You can find him on Facebook once in a blue moon.
