TURNING RED MOVIE REVIEW

Let’s skip past the part where we talk about Pixar. We know what they’re about, and we know Disney makes a lot of money off of them. So what better way to boost Walt Disney Corps. stock by watching Pixar’s newest flick, Turning Red. Written and directed by Domee Shi (look up her short Bao on Disney+), Turning Red is a coming of age story that follows Mei, a 13-year-old, Toronto native, who has it all figured out… Until one morning, she wakes up as a giant, fluffy, adorable red panda. This movie is set in 2002, so be prepared for nostalgia as Shak explains to Sarah Jane, Trevor, and Chad why Toronto kind of sucks now.

Sarah Jane was born and raised in Southern California but currently calls Austin, TX her home. She’s seen over 5,700 movies so far with zero plans on stopping. Trevor T. Trujillo is a One Of Us contributor in addition to being the co-host, co-founder, and co-producer of the Nighthawks Podcast.
