Episode 44: The Frequency of Blue

Manifestation, Myth-Busting, and the Science of Ink

What if the viral blue ink manifestation trend on TikTok actually works? Not because of cosmic magic, but because of how your brain processes colour, intention, and the physical act of writing. In this episode, I explore the frequency of blue from a grounded, research-led perspective.

We dive into the physics of blue light and circadian rhythms, the controversial history behind the popular seven-chakra colour chart, and the surprising truth about the Medicine Buddha’s lapis lazuli light. I also uncover a common myth about blue glass bottles and solar water disinfection (SODIS) that completely changed my own ten-year practice.

Along the way, we look at the neuroscience of "naming your emotions" to quiet anxiety, the Victorian use of poison bottles, and why clear plastic might be better than blue glass for keeping water pure. This is a journey into the practical magic of the everyday. It’s about how a pen, a piece of paper, and a specific colour can help you focus, heal, and finally see what you’re asking for.

In this episode, we explore:

• The cognitive benefits of handwriting versus typing
• The hidden history of the chakra colour scheme
• Why I switched from blue to clear bottles for water purification
• How naming emotions literally slows down your brain’s alarm system
• The intersection of esoteric tradition and modern science

Grab your blue pen, sit back, and let’s explore the frequency of blue together.

Scribing Journeys is back, and to mark our return, calligrapher and podcaster Jackie Sahans welcomes diviner and natural scientist Douglas Gordon to explore straight energy lines — the 40-foot-wide beams of earth energy that connect sacred sites across Ireland, from Newgrange to Glencollumcille.

Douglas shares his decades of fieldwork tracking these lines, explains how they differ from the more commonly known "ley lines," and reveals how ancient peoples may have used these energies for burial ceremonies, healing, and spiritual transition. He also discusses the practical side of his work: how energy lines running beneath homes can affect people's health, and the techniques he's developed to neutralize harmful electromagnetic interference.

Throughout, Jackie and Douglas explore the intersection of divination, archaeology, and quantum science — and why bringing awareness of earth energies into everyday conversation matters for our collective wellbeing.

Episode 42: The Energy of Grianan of Aileach & Summer Plans at Tumna

Hosted by Jackie Sahans & Douglas Gordon Step up the windswept slopes of Inishowin with me, Jackie. In this episode, Douglas and I explore the Grianan of Aileach, an ancient ring fort in County Donegal that holds secrets far beyond its stone walls. We dive into the "out-of-the-box" theories suggesting this site is not just a fort, but a powerful healing center and an ancient energy grid. We discuss:

• The magnetic lines and water vortices found at the site.
• How ancient energy wisdom connects to our modern health and home environments.
• The myths of the Tuatha Dé Danann and the true age of these structures.
• Exciting News: A look ahead at Tumna, the beautiful farm where we will be gathering for a summer solstice celebration filled with fire, community, and nature.

Whether you are a seasoned diviner or simply curious about the whispers of the earth, this conversation is a quiet space for you to settle in, reflect, and reconnect. Grab a cup of tea, press play, and let the journey unfold with us.

Ever feel like something's missing? In this episode, I welcome Swami Prajna Pranab as we explore the Vedas as science (not religion), the Atman (your eternal soul), and the cosmic game we're all playing. After decades of tech entrepreneurship and chasing success, Swami Prajna Pranab experienced a spiritual crisis that led him to India in 1999, where he met a blind teacher that changed everything. Now, he shares the ancient secrets of the Vedas - revealed not as religion, but as empirical science. This isn't theory. This is lived wisdom from someone who's walked the path.

Speaking Words Into Reality: How Language, Intention & Music Shape Our World

Litmus A. Freeman didn’t just leave his corporate job, he rewrote his life.
From energy industry manager to busking in French village markets, he found freedom through music, words, and deep self-reflection. In this episode, he shares how his song Feeding the Machine captures his journey, and how he now sees language as magic. Discover why he believes “beliefs = be-lies,” how “verbalise” might mean “words are lies,” and why intention matters more than perfect pronunciation.
It’s a conversation full of soul, wit, and wisdom, perfect for anyone who’s ever felt called to live differently.
