In this chapter we read Ether chapter 1 and go over it verse by verse. I never really noticed before how Jared and his brother got to bring their friends and family with them. Also the Lord answered their prayers, but they had to ask first!

We talk about the clear doctrine of Christ, receiving the Holy Ghost, receiving answers to problems and questions, feasting upon the words of Christ, praying and more. Nephi is so clear and loving in calling us to repent and to follow Jesus.

We talk about 2 Nephi 31, we go slowly verse by verse and discuss the doctrine of Christ, the baptism of Christ- and how we should follow Him even in baptism and finally, endure to end- keep going- feast upon the words of Christ!

We discuss 2 Nephi 29-30. More on the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, the Bible and the Jews, the Lost tribes, and the Millennium. The scriptures are amazing!!

In this episode we delve deeper into human nature and how easily people are fooled into believing they are better than others, chosen by God and thus don't actually have to do anything they don't want to do. But we are missing the whole point when we get caught in those traps!! We are all broken and humility allows us to change, pride does not. When we come to the Savior, He relieves our burdens and our sorrows and we can bask in His redeeming love! No need to constantly find reasons why we don't need to repent.

It's sad to see loved ones fall into these traps. It's no fun to be persecuted by those who are full of pride. But it's comforting to know that the Lord knows all about this and repentance is always available- it's never too late!

We go over the history of Joseph Smith receiving the plates, beginning the translation process, asking for feedback from experts, losing the 116 pages of manuscript and then compare 2 Nephi 27 with Isaiah 29 and the infamous retort of I cannot read a sealed book.

In this episode we compare the writings of Nephi and Mormon and what they both say about our time. They both talk about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon and how it will be as if speaking from the dust. They also talk about churches, secret combinations and pride, as well as other things like priestcraft and studying the words of Isaiah.

What will be discussing and why? I'm a happily married mom of 8 children. I love the Book of Mormon, there's a lot to talk about in it! I graduated from BYU in Horticulture Science and Spanish. I've been a stay at home mom and I've homeschooled my kids most of the time. My four oldest are out of the house, 2 are serving missions, 1 is married and graduated from BYUI and a returned missionary, and my other 1 is a returned missionary working on her degree. My next 4 at home include a set of 14 year old twins and my youngest is 12. It has been busy and podcasts have gotten me through many many chores so this is my gift back to the podcasting world!
