  • 1 Introduction to Wellness

It’s often much easier to talk about a physical injury or illness because the effects are visible for everyone to see. We easily feel empathy for those people because of the things that they struggle with. However, many health challenges are unseen. • Religion in Life TJ DAVIS

If you live in Cache Valley, Juanito Bandito, a singing, rapping character — billed as the most infamous semi-fictional Spanish villain in the history of the world, is familiar. However, many locals still find it amazing that this bandit, trademarked by his mustache, stretchy pants, and shifting accent, is played by a basketball-playing, blond-haired, blue-eyed father of five from Smithfield.

T.J. Davis created the Juanito character in 2008 as part of the summer Chuck Wagon’s Wild West Showdown at Pickleville Playhouse, and he has been playing the part ever since.

His YouTube channel and podcast, “Unshaken,” helps people study the scriptures. He and Sister Halverson are former residents of Tennessee where Brother Halverson studied in the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University. While attending Vanderbilt, he sometimes was called upon to speak to college classes or to non-LDS congregations in the Nashville community to explain his religious beliefs.
